Got up around 11:30 last night
and on a whim checked Apple TV+ to see when Murderbot was going to be on.
Wouldn't you know it but the first two episodes were already up.
Verdict on the first episode: pretty good. Very true to the spirit of the book, with a great deal of compression — three characters compressed into one, for example, a lot of Murderbot's voiceover being exposition as opposed to just being snarky and also really playing up the "space hippie" thing about the PreservationAux people, which was really barely even a subcurrent in the book.
Even so, I liked it. Looking forward to the second episode this evening.
