A country is not made great by exerting control, but by inspiring and empowering it's people.

Some level of control is needed but there mustn't be an institution with absolute power. We must think about what exactly are people being inspired by and empowered to. Because hateful speech and propaganda are tools to inspire and empower people too. And exactly this is what is the scariest thing that's happening right now.

I just completed watching the documentary on Winston Churchill in WWII. I couldn't help wondering if anybody like that even exists today.

@Miram Absolutely. I had the recent spate of 'government overreach' that a certain western country is seeing in mind. Excessive control.
