Afghanistan bans women speaking in public.

I'm not saying that I think the Taliban being a gay group is a bad thing. The gay people comfortable with themselves are different than the ones that hate themselves like them weird anti gay politicians but secretly gay types. But I think the Taliban are the latter and I wish that they would just know that being gay is as natural as being straight and be okay with themselves.

I mean it's getting to the point where they don't even want to see women's bodies or voices, just each other's naked bodies and voices. People are psycho when they're repressed, it's like a virus that just goes off in your brain or something so I think it's vital the Taliban accepts their homosexuality as their weird sausage fest party is getting a little unhinged.

Let's all take a moment to remember that it was Donald Trump who negotiated the withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Trump did that.

@SatanBurger NGL, I'd pay good money to see that.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@LordShadowfire If it ever came down to it I'm not going quietly.

I know there's supposed to be a joke somewhere here but it's not landing

I was gonna go down the route of the Taliban's history but I know nobody cares and idc to waste my breath today. Ultimately, it's just upsetting to see the women suffer so much. I wish for the liberation of these women but not by the hands of the people who are part of the reason why this is happening.

Even weirder - what they do to the Bacha Bazi boys
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@Jenny1234 I wasn't sure what you meant so I looked it up, I have an idea but I'm still not sure. Though I feel like I'm probably right. If I am right then they are repressed and need to focus on acceptance so everyone doesn't pay for it. That's sick though
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
@SatanBurger they are sick on so many levels

Doesn't the Bible forbid women speaking in church and say that they must cover their hair?
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@Entwistle Yes, that's my understanding.

1 Corinthians 14:34-35: "...women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says, If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church."

Martin Luther wrote: "If women become tired or even die, that does not matter. Let them die in childbirth, that's why they are there."
(remind you of anything?)

Very true. But imagine that woman talking when they are back home!
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@SatanBurger The Bible has a story about what women should do when men oppress them. If the Afghan women did it they would solve their problem very quickly.

@Diotrephes That's what I was thinking, I kind of hope that militant women rise up in the Middle East to give them hell, somehow maybe get their hands on black market weapons.

I know that's fantasy because women don't seem wired that way. It seems like a few women are but usually we just quietly accept it because it means certain death to give them hell, and to do that knowing your fate in the end would be hard.

But it's what women should do.

One can only hope to be honest.

Normally I don't like the militant route, I don't think it's good but the ends justify the means or if I'm using that right, that's how I justify something like that. If they give you no choice then technically it's self defense.
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@SatanBurger You should never let anyone oppress you regardless of the consequences.

"Live Free or Die" is the official motto of the US state of New Hampshire, adopted by the state in 1945.

@jshm2
They are clamping down on women being trafficked and being used as mules.

Rape victims have been sentenced to death under Taliban law is that saving them?

Forcing women to not speak in public and forcing them to dress head to toe isn't going to stop trafficking. Babies and elderly get trafficked too and men also get trafficked as well. What you wear and do has nothing to do with it. Traffickers care about money and power only, not what someone looks like.

It places blame on the female rather than the perpetrators.

@LordShadowfire It is highly suspect because why would he hint that unless he thought of it before? It is so bizarre

@masterofyou See? I wish they were like that too. If only everyone was comfortable in their own skin we'd have much less grief.

@SatanBurger would love to have this sweet thing in my bed

@SatanBurger I'm convinced their leadership is as deep in the closet as some of our staunch family values Republicans.
