I was on my way to work one day in my twenties when I met a young girl who offered herself to me very cheaply… I didn’t have a girlfriend and it had been awhile so the offer was enticing. I said do you have a friend too? She said sure. I said I have to go to work. Will you be around tomorrow night? She said I’m always around here.

There was a pizza place near by. I came around after work for a couple weeks but never saw her again. Perhaps she simply disappeared?

@SW-User well that is sort the sad part about it you met and come across lots of people in your time but as you say they may make an instant impression on you and never see them ever again

It’s worse when it’s someone I know like a coworker or someone on here that I like. Usually when they leave I never see them again and I get sad

Yes... And I believe that I once spoke to someone here who stopped my "dad" from hitting me one day, too.

He didn't remember it - though it was traumatic enough for me that I dissociated and made a unholy racket to draw attention to what he was going to do to me.
