I am in pain

I've been in this particular case of pain for about 6 weeks now. I'm still having trouble walking and standing, but I'm getting by. I am making incremental improvements, but it's still an up and down road.

Getting old is not for the weak.

So sorry.

I got sick last winter (a serious neck skin infection that spread to my bones), and one side effect was weakness, numbness, and difficulty walking. I got treated and was in the hospital and rehab for three months, mostly in bed. I lost my ability to walk without a walker. I slowly regained strength, and stopped using the walker. Yet I still walk slow and wobble. While in the hospital I learned I had diabetes, which causes numbness. I am being treated and my sugars are down, and the numbness less.

Good luck!

@JoyfulSilence I'm sorry you've had such trouble. I'm grateful that my situation isn't worse than it is. I hope you continue to feel better.
