Credit card thieves — grrr!

I got a text the other night from my credit card company saying that they had blocked a charge for nearly $2,000 (!) on my card and asking if that was me. Uh, no. No, it was not.

I checked my card online and found two other charges, both over $500, that were not mine.

The company is sending me new cards. I'm glad they're keeping an eye out for this sort of thing. Now, I just have to change everywhere I have the card set up for automatic payments.

The joy of living in the future.

Some bastard did that with my card and tried to spend £250 on baby products at 2am. The bank caught on straight away as I never spend that much in a grocery store, never shop after midnight in the all night 24 hour stores, dont buy baby stuff and wasn't even anywhere near Manchester. They texted ne within minutes of the aborted transaction and quickly cancelled my card.

Don't you have card protection methods in the card company's app like disabling card or setting limit of maximum $ per transaction or per day... or something like that?

One has the thank the bank for being diligent!!
I never allow auto payments from my accounts, it’s a bit of a pain in the ass but I pay the end of every month.
