do you have a complicated last name?

3 times in my life has someone has pronounced my last name correctly the on the first try. That is not an exaggeration. 3 FRICKEN TIMES IN MY ENTIRE LIFE.

it's so rare that when it happens I'm blown away by it.

It's not complicated, but it's Dutch and consists of three words. People sometimes ignore the first two words and think only the last one is my actual last name, but all three of them are.

{@davidscottbianchet] 😆 our surname it is not the way it is pronounced it is the way people spell it . we would get letters with a d in our surname and it was my dads pet hate

It's not complicated but it's ethnic so folks just wing my first name instead. Which they also mess up thanks to my parents using a non-English pronunciation.
