Every sci fi movie lies to us, we could never have flying cars.

Think about it, people would be running into each other mid-air, cars would be on top of buildings, trees and in the ocean. People would drive drunk and crash lmfao. No way.

I expect autopilot for road cars is a tougher problem than autopilot for flying cars. Once we've solved autopilot for road cars then autopiloted flying cars will become a reality. There are a lot more "lanes" up there, far fewer obstacles, and the infrastructure will be much easier to maintain.

@ElwoodBlues Maybe with auto cars would be better. I'm thinking of the old school driving cars except flying.

Yeah, I'm going to wait for self driving before flight. Humans are not meant to drive and the sooner we can stop the better.
