@BlueDiver: if I wake up...feeling discontent...or blue...I find things in my life to make me smile, to lift my spirits...I choose to find happiness. (I am a fortunate soul to wake up happy most days.)

Maybe for some people, during the less tragic parts of their life, happiness is a choice. But not all the time, and not for everyone.

@BlueDiver: tragedy (and I have had my share) is not a reason to be incapable of being happy. It is all a matter of perspective. Clearly harder for some than others...
