Here's my random thought of the day...

I've heard of, and even read about smallpox. I've even heard of, read about and even experienced chicken pox. But this is the first time I ever heard of monkey pox. Now, I don't normally attempt to make light of a serious issue, but one must wonder... What new malady will humanity be faced with it the years to come? Eagle pox? Phesant pox? Dolphin pox? Turkey pox? Seagull pox...? Makes you wonder, doesn't it...?

I've heard of monkey pox. I believe it was first "discovered" back in the 1950s.

Humanpox would probably be the one to worry about the most 🤔

@Stereoguy When I was a child, I remember seeing a sign hanging on a wall that read: "WARNING! FISHING POX. VERY CONTAGIOUS TO ADULT MALES. SYMPTOMS -- Continual complaint as to a need for fresh air. Sunshine and relaxation. Patient has blank expression, sometimes deaf to wife and kids. Has no taste for work. Frequent checking of tackle catalogues. Hanging out in sporting good stores longer than usual. Secret phone calls to fishing buddies. Mumbles to self. Lies to everyone. NO KNOWN CURE! TREATMENT -- Medication is useless. Disease is not fatal. Victim should go fishing as often as possible."
