Inflatable hot tub: The adventure continues

So, the inflatable hot tub the wife wanted has arrived. While I was at work yesterday, the wife inflated it — fortunately, she decided to do that on the back porch, in the space that was designed to contain a hot tub. I think even she saw the wisdom of that after the mess made by just trying to fill the thing with water.

She also waited for me to come home before attempting to assemble the various pipes and things to the heating/control unit. This was good — the wife's usual method for this sort of thing is "just keep pushing until it breaks." I mean, she once broke the latch on the center console on my old car because she couldn't figure out that all she had to do was squeeze it.

Anyway, we got it set up. The water at the time was at 50°F, and the instructions say it takes about an hour to raise the temperature 2°F, so we have a while before it's usable. This morning, it had only made it up to 75°F on the journey to 104°F.

I was surprised at how sturdy the thing is. An adult of significantly lesser stature than myself could sit on the edge of it, no problem.

The wife is happy and looking forward to using the thing. She believes it will be a good treatment to address the various aches and pains we have now that we're becoming old and decrepit.

Something to do, I guess.

Yes, something to do!

We once viewed a meteor shower from friends' hot tub! So magical, and the best part that none of us had advance knowledge of the meteor shower.
