Inflatable hot tub

So, the wife talked me into getting an inflatable hot tub. My assumption was that we'd set it up on our back porch, as it was built with a hot tub hook up to begin with. However, then she wanted to set it up in the garage. I mean, sure, it's cold outside.

Then, she announced that she wanted to move the dining room table over and put it up in the dining room. My response was, immediately, "No. Absolutely not." Of course, nothing sets the wife off more than being told "no" to any of her slightest whims, so that was a thing. Even my "It is a disaster waiting to happen" argument didn't sway her much.

Of course, then she talked to her friend who already has an inflatable hot tub, who told her that getting in and out of it splashes a lot of water around. She'll believe her friend over me — she'll believe anyone over me, actually.

So, at least that crisis has been averted.

I’m sorry. Have you told her how that makes you feel like she doesn’t trust your judgment? I had an issue like that earlier in my relationship but once I gave him an example he realized apologized and hasn’t done so again. Having a hot tub outside during winter is great!! It’s such a nice experience to be warm but outdoors in the cold. Plus you can look up to the sky while enjoying your soak.

@Mrsbetweenfatandfit Unfortunately, the wife suffers from various conditions that make it impossible for her to change her behavior significantly.
