No dictators anywhere in the world managed to stop this from happening in their country, but almost every country’s leader did a better job than Trump did at containing it and stopping the spread. So what exactly was Trump’s brilliant plan to save us from COVID that apparently he couldn’t implement because our pesky checks and balances got in his way?

If you don’t know what his brilliant plan was, then how can you be so confident that he could have “stopped it from happening” even if he had all the power and resources in the world at his disposal?

@pianoplayingsteve Did you forget? That was the claim implied by the OP. That’s what this whole discussion was originally about. The author lives in a Democratic state and laughs at Biden voters complaining that things are shutting down due to Covid because supposedly Trump is some kind of Superman who could have made the virus just vanish into thin air if only those Democrats would have voted for him instead of Biden!

@pianoplayingsteve My first comment was if Trump would have stopped it why didn’t he? To which your immediate reply was I’d call that defending. You implied that if Trump were a dictator he could have stopped the coronavirus from shutting things down in the author’s Democratic state.

Could you point out the part where i said that this is the reason he would have stopped covid? Because I literally cant read minds to be able to argue that he could have beaten covid with a plan he didnt lay out.

My question to which you were responding was “If Trump ‘would have stopped it from happening’, then why didn’t he?” Your answer So the implication is, he didn’t stop Covid because he isn’t this dictator the left claims him to be. Otherwise he would have done. If that’s not the implication, then what the bloody hell does your answer have to do with my question in the first place?!?
