I Have A Random Thought

My black fan finally died the other day. My amazing husband got me a new fan. I had another fan it was Square shape On the top speed it was as loud as my black fan on low. I turned this new fan on. Omg it was loud on low. The crazy thing is it is like a circle shape. It gives off more air then the Square one. So is it because it is a circle
