I want everyone to know that Hurricane Helene caused historic devastation to the Southeast of the United States, especially to the state of North

Carolina. Whole towns in North Carolina have been completely destroyed by Hurricane Helene. I live in South Carolina and we suffered damage as well. I'm telling you this, because the national media downplays this historic, biblically catastrophic event because it happened to conservative Republican states. They only want people to care about the blue, liberal states because it's an election year.

I especially liked where Biden got on TV and said the federal government had given North Carolina all the aid they were going to get. Sadly you are correct. Biden and the Democrats do not like supporting red states. When hurricane Ian hit us in Florida Englewood recorded 209 mph sustained winds, but the federal government would only classify it as a category 4 hurricane. Every level of hurricane comes with a different level of aid. We were cheated! I paid $4000 to FEMA for flood insurance. When I filed a claim I was told to apply to the SBA for a loan, it was one of our rental properties that had the damage. Thankfully Trump started a go fund me page and is raising millions of dollars to aid North Carolina. I hope you and your family are safe with no damage.

@Musicman We suffered no damage but we were out of power for a week. Mine returned tonight.

@Cloud7593 Thank you very much for the Best Comment. I am glad your power came back. Ours was out for 10 hours this time. Four days for Ian and nine days for Irma. Fortunately we have a motorhome with a generator. We unloaded the contents of our refrigerator and brought it out to the motorhome. I hope you didn't lose the contents of your refrigerator.
