the national media downplays this historic, biblically catastrophic event because it happened to conservative Republican states
I'm sure this is what you think, but you're misinformed, probably by the "conservative" media you're watching.
It has nothing but Helene coverage, 24/7 and appeals for donations and funds to those who need them, and it's all over the media.
Seriously, wake up and blindly believing everything Trump tells you. You deserve better than this.

I live cross country from you, in Washington State, and I'm fully aware of what's going on in the Carolinas, including power outages, washed out roads, lack of fresh water, etc.
And I get it all from my "liberal" media.
It really saddens me when a co-patriot hates based on rumors, and assumptions, when we're really all into it together.
Interesting though that you have no Internet, but you're on SW.
This too shall pass.
I've had people tell me this. I've had no access to internet or TV all week because of a severe power outage in the state. Some of the people saying this are diehard Democrats.

Which makes it even more important to be factual, or somewhat close it, not out starting rumors.
What if there was a rumor that one of the nearby bridges, in the thick of the storm, was out but really wasn't, and it's the only way out of town? Would you be a little be more careful about "informing people" using bad information?
just trying to inform people

@Cloud7593 you’re not informing anyone. You’re spreading hateful misinformation and pitting areas of the country against each other needlessly. I’m glad you’re ok.
