@Vivaci to be totally factual, you live in a republic and not a democracy... You vote for people to vote for you( the electoral college) target than voting directly for those standing

@Convivial When we say we live in a democracy, that's more of a shorthand for "democratic country". I don't know of any country that is a literal democracy in the classical sense.

@DDonde in the classical sense, you and the Greek republic are very similar I thought, in that you both gifted for others to do the voting... Where as most democratic countries vote directly for the people standing... And I admit I'm on shaky ground with this
