I Have Something to Say

Here are 30 seconds of hurricane Matthew, taken from my front porch in Savannah, Georgia. Main storm is still an hour or so away.

Grateful to still have power!

I'm up in NC so we're just getting rain. Good luck

@AwwTopsy: wind is blowing so hard and I have such big trees. I'm afraid of them falling more than anything. Everything else is fine. They have flood warning up but not worried about that. Stuff keeps hitting the house tho and it's freaky

@Softandsweet2: It will end. Maybe find a safe room in your house and hunker down a bit. You just have to wait these things out, but it will be okay. Hoping for the best for you.

@AwwTopsy: Thanks :) the winds have calmed some so it's not so scary now. We still have rain and wind but not like a few hours ago. Hope it stays this way.

Isnt it like 80 degrees out there in that rain? i'd stand out there and have a nice shower🚿
AwwTopsy · 46-50, M
It's closer to 70 degrees right now, and the rain feels pretty cold. But you could totally shower in this. 😀

Hell yeah...i live in Oregon and the rain is always freakin cold.... but ive always wanted to do that in warm rain...lol
AwwTopsy · 46-50, M
@Tminus6453: Well, there's no doubt this would be comparatively warmer!

That's a lot of rain! I love the sound of it and of the thunder. I hope you stay safe and dry and aren't flooded!
AwwTopsy · 46-50, M
Safe and dry! Whew. A couple of harrowing wee hours, but we have no damage and no leaks, and we unbelievably didn't lose power. Lots of trees down, though. We were lucky. 😁

I'm glad you're ok!!! 😘

Holy crap!!!! Great video
Ambroseguy80 · 56-60, M
I have seen hurricanes, but never that bad. Wow
AwwTopsy · 46-50, M
I'm just happy this one stayed out to sea. We're expecting a lot of flooding, locally, and Charleston, SC is still in some danger of a direct hit.
Ambroseguy80 · 56-60, M
Yes it's amazing what a difference the path makes. Good luck. I just read that 800 are dead in Haiti over this. Consider yourselves very fortunate!

Now that's some rain! And I live in Oregon. 😊
AwwTopsy · 46-50, M
I envy your Oregon-ness. 😀 But yes, it's been doing this for a few hours now. Only 10 more to go!

I am glad that you are okay ! You are one of my favorite peeps. I enjoy your work, your creativity and your outlook on this life , our existence and purpose . We lost power here in Jacksonville for about 11 hrs. My backyard flooded, but all in all we made it through safe and sound . The house is still standing ! Miss seeing you . Think of you often AwwTopsy. 😃
