You know what I don't hear about anymore? The so-called American Dream.

I say "so-called" because, sure it refers to the idea of the US being the land of opportunity and prosperity, it's also always been kinda vague on what exactly it means. 🤔 Anyway, maybe it's just me, but that's a term I never hear anyone mention anymore. If this is indeed the case, does this mean the American Dream as an ethos is dead? 😟 It kinda would make sense considering a lot of cherished American values like democracy, civil liberties and equality don't seem to be valued much from social standpoint anymore. Now it's all about taking the rights away from those we don't like and making sure they're stripped of opportunity. It's sad, really - how these once cherished values have now been forgotten. 😒 But I digress. Maybe it's all just me anyway and people will comment saying "Oh, I heard on my local talk show them going on and on about the American Dream!" Just thinking from my own perspective. 🤷‍♀️ What's more important to me personally anyway is the great Italian-American Dream. 🤌

It's dead if you ask me. Between the extreme stagnation in wages and the astronmical rise in the costnof home ownership along with the rising basic living costs the American Dream isn'y very obtainable anymore. There doesn't seem any effort to correct these situations either. The party is pretty much over at this point.
