When you were 8 years old, what did you consider the worst punishment?

Getting yelled at maybe. I hate it when people raise their voices to me. I only remember being 'punished' one time. I was a pretty good kid.

My parents did not consider an 8 year old too old for a spanking, a fact my sister and I both well knew when we were that age.

Although I voted for "Getting a spanking from mommy," I actually feared spankings from both my parents equally. My father copied my mother's spanking technique in most respects.

.... What's up with Middle Aged men and spanking?!?!? My mums punishment was not getting cheese after lunch (I'm such a Frenchmen I love cheese) and from my dad I would get shouted at really harshly... TBH the cheese one had more affect on me.

Rodney: I think the hysterical fit I had screaming and running to the neighbors made him stop beating her, he never beat her again in front of me, I don't know about other times. I learned to pray to God with my entire being after that incident, and after that when he was doing anything mean to me words would flow out of my mouth to protect me, they were very direct and simple...I didn't have any idea of what to say to him because I was terrified of him.

Codrin...it hurt like hell! I still have scars. I was so afraid I would be violent like my mother...I decided at 20 to never have kids. I can't even tolerate people "spanking" kids now.

I got beaten while I was still sleeping, my "father" asked me to hand him the Sunday paper while I was asleep and I mumbled in my sleep.

Getting the shit beat out of me by BOTH my parents in the same day! They were both abusive. But they ended up being great role models...they taught me what NOT to do and how NOT to treat others...especially my children!

Rodney, he was crazy...we called him "the maniac" when he wasn't around, diagnosed schizophrenic and alcoholic but later diagnosed Bipolar and borderline personality disorder, and to tell you the truth the beatings I got hurt me a lot less than seeing my mother beaten, that just made me hysterical.
