I've chosen to go my own way since I left my second ex the day before my 50th birthday in 2018 and I've not had, wanted, or really tried to have, a sexual romantic intimate relationship since. There's much more to life than sex. There is no reward or benefit or return on investment to having relationships anymore as I'm not a woman who is only after a man's money.
@1PrivateHannah I believe you, but to date I haven't found any like that that are prepared to given genuine love, peace, respect, acceptance, etc. On the flipside, I pretty much shut the gate for that since I'm neuro-divergent, introverted, and both demi- and sapio-sexual so that writes off almost all women that might be interested because most women won't accept a man who isn't 'normal' in how they view and respond to the world around them.
I'm mostly celibate because I'm in a sexless mariage but I have the occasional affair. Of course that is becoming less frequent now (actually it was never frequent).
@1PrivateHannah Not sure if the term "Good," really applies here at all. Seemingly, this situation was anything but "Good," had it been so, we would still be together.
Just over two years. My husband died. For a while I went a bit crazy and all I thought about was sex. I think that's a part of grief that nobody wants to talk about.
@OutoftheGloom Sorry for your loss. You can talk about it here. Share a post about how you feel and you'll see comments from good-natured people who might have the same thoughts or experiences.
