Can anyone recommend a good, powerful gas powered wood chipper?

Well, my wood chipper lasted all of one day after being fixed before it broke down again. Apparently, it's time for a new one.

I'm looking for a gas powered chipper with preferably a 5 inch capacity and at least 13–15 horsepower. I've got a lot of woods to clean up, so I need something with some power behind it.

Anybody have one they'd recommend? Something reliable that can handle some serious work?

And. You know 🙃

What about just swapping out the motor and putting a new motor in?
@Bexsy power fist (yes it's a real brand) is the cheap but reliable stuff around this neck of the woods.
@Justafantasy I'm looking them up, thanks
@Bexsy Canadian only, house brand for princess auto in Canada.

This is for tree branches and yard scraps, right?

I'm being very careful to stay on your good side.
@sben4200 yes, yes indeed.

Let's go with that

5 inch capacity you say.
@JohnnyNoir at least

On a serious note, I am curious. What sort of property do you have that it is worth owning a 13-15 HP wood chipper rather than renting one?
@sben4200 i have 40 acres that is a lot of woods.

I have a good log splitter and bush hog, my chipper broke down, i use it alot for debris/ branches and clear paths

@Bexsy Wow. I would love to live in someplace like that. But, it must be a lot of work to maintain it
Do you farm any of the land?
@sben4200 used to years ago

Had chickens and a couple horses and mules. Mainly my fields used for hay

Hunny, you need commercial grade!
@RebelRaven i really really do 😬
@TurtlePink i can come up with one I think lol
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
I've only ever had large chippers, 50-100hp, 12" capacity

Bandit makes the best imo, Vermeers are nice, but too expensive for me

Their smallest is in the 6" range (bandit 65)
Sorry, I don’t. Maybe consider calling a maximum security prison in a nice wooded area.
Captainjackass · 31-35, M
Hard to clean out those little bones. You need one soon cause I’m sick of burying… stuff.
5 inch wood? 👀
@NerdyPotato at least
DrWatson · 70-79, M
In light of all the references to wood chippers you have made., nobody in their right mind is going to recommend that you go anywhere near one!
@DrWatson 🥹 but.

Please?
DrWatson · 70-79, M
@Bexsy Unfortunately, I have had no experience with them, so I will be of no help to you here .
