Yes, in fact a classmate used those exact words at our 50 year High School reunion (which was 3 years sgo).

Lol……. yesterday I was taking a couple bags of trash to the dumpster and this nice young woman asked if she could help me. Oy vey, when did I start looking like I needed help with my trash bags? 😩

It was weird how sudden it was. Suddenly the references I made and the things I cared about are old-fashioned.

I work in IT, and we have a 20 year old tech who works with us. I can always tell when I say something old fashioned because I see him immediately grab his phone and look up whatever it is I referenced.

I felt ancient when I mentioned "Ross and Rachel" and he looked at me and said "Friends...right?" Like I would say to an old person..."Lawrence Welk...right?" 🤦‍♂

When I first knew my grandparents, they were younger than I am now, yet they seemed so much older…it amazes me when I look at them in photos.

Unfortunately, yes.

Some years ago I was visiting my mother.
At the time she was in her early 80s
She was telling me about a friend who was about the same age herself and just said, she's getting on in years now and she replied very abruptly , O no she's not
So didn't say another word
