I lost 40 lbs at least four years ago and have kept it off. Go light on the carbs. Try to avoid sugar. Proteins are good, but keep the portions to 4-6oz.
That’s the mainstay to get you into calorie burn mode.
Also, initially it’s best to not cheat at all. You have to set goals and keep them regardless. It’s harder for women because of the body composition, but you should be able to lose 2lbs a week without issue.
After a month or so, it’s also good to work in some daily exercise. 15-30 minutes will help., just don’t over exert until you know you can handle it. Once you’re good you can ramp it up. Try some running or a treadmill or an elliptical.
Good luck! Stay committed.
It’s important if you’d like to live longer ❤

I have a couple pics on my phone to remind me what I'm never going back to ..
I try not to bring home much of the less healthy choices
I found healthy things I really enjoy .. spices and herbs add flavor to help maintain satisfaction

I let myself have a little sometimes so I don't feel deprived.

It’s all about portion control. You can be slightly “naughty” to fulfill a craving, but the willpower truly comes into play when it comes to eating too much of what you shouldn’t.
Do you have a planner? Just curious. It can help you change anything about yourself.
GunFinger · F
@soulrespite nope. Most times we decide on the spot what we want to eat.
Same mostly, but a planner is something for you.. and it can help you implement any change or rhythm you want to in your life.
Including meal prep.
This might sound unrelated, but it’s the foundation to any real change. @GunFinger

No, but I try my best. If I didn’t I would be 400 pounds

I could never do it. I have zero willpower.

Um I don’t really. I like food too much. I need to get my shit together though
GunFinger · F
@Notladylike same! The kids request for nachos or tacos so whatever they eat I eat so I don't make anything else.

By being stubborn.
