What is yalls take on this? Did dating apps ruin dating… or emotional regulation? Or has society and internet culture changed our experiences? Am I

tripping? Curious on your take, please let me know.

Dating apps are nothing but catfish and scammers.

I am surprised anyone even bothers. Plus, don't most of them charge? Who wants to pay just to either be rejected or have to deal with scammers? I think most people can experience that for free on every site, not just dating ones.

@HoeBag All of them charge. Every single one. Even the ones that advertise that they are completely free. You set up an account, upload a couple of pictures, write your bio, and if somebody clicks on your bio and likes what they see, you get a notification. But then when you try to click on that notification, they ask you to upgrade to a monthly subscription in order to see who liked your profile.

Every. Single. Time.

@LordShadowfire Oh I believe it.

But paying for those, H3ll it ain't even worth that.

I mean what if someone pays and sees their match(es) and it is some complete POS or they live in BFE with their "ex"?

I mean I don't know cause I ain't used a dating site in umpteen years. Maybe 2013, it wasn't too bad back then. Had a couple short-terms, talked to a few, I can't complain.

But anymore, I hear nothing but bad news about those sites, especially what you said.

@HoeBag Which is exactly why I recently got rid of all of them.
