No, not usually. I don't understand the whole "influencer" thing -- why would I be influenced by someone who has done nothing but try to influence people? IF you've actually accomplished something, I might listen to what you have to say.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@ChipmunkErnie Exactly this. Honestly I get tired of hearing/seeing all of them trying to tell everyone else what to do/be/buy/like.
itsok · 31-35, F
Sure. If I hear people say a certain moisturizer is really good, or a brand of clothing is super soft and good quality, or a makeup item works well, I sometimes want to try it. Not everything, but some things. My mood affects it as well.

No.
There are necessities and there are materialistic wants.
I am a simple person myself.
I buy minimal clothes and personal items.
Plus I am not on most social media apps and sites.

I can honestly say I couldn't name one influencer and I haven't a clue who most 'celebs' are nowadays. It seen as if you only have to appear in public to be a celebrity.
Ignorance is bliss.
Oops, I forgot the main topic! No, I'm probably the least materialistic person you're ever likely to encounter.

@BlobbyMcBlobface I couldn't name them either, but they show up way too much on my comouter acting as though their opinion matters.

Nope. By nature, I am not much interested in paying ridiculous prices for things the world has gotten along without for millennia. When I see a book promising to share the secrets of attaining wealth, I always wonder why on earth do they want to waste their time writing a $20 book instead of earning the money they say they know how to acquire?
I don’t follow influencers, but it seems every time they appear on my radar, it’s because they’ve done something foul or murderous.
Seems clear to me that most of them are narcissistic and professional liars.
Pass me by..

@Mamapolo2016 Yes. Self important for sure!
JustNik · 51-55, F
Only so far as if I’m thinking of getting something I’ll look at reviews. I don’t follow any particular “influencers.”
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@JustNik I read reviews and do my homework too. I think that's different.
Younameit · F
Yes. I am easily influenced 🙂. Although I do my research before purchasing a product.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@Younameit Research is the best thing.

I do not believe so. I am not much of a materialistic person these days

Narcissistic personality disorders don't interest me. They remind me too much of the A-holes that made school life hell for me. And none of them turned out right in the end.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
@Thevy29 You're right. I have a feeling the majority of them do suffer from self-important personality disorders of some kind!
ScreamingFox · 41-45, F
I like rocks, shells and sticks
BrandNewMan · 61-69, M
Pretty minimally
