Years ago I shared a flat with two other girls that was next to a furniture warehouse. One night I woke up to massive bangs that sounded like fireworks exploding right outside my window.
I opened the curtains, ready to yell some obscenities at whoever had disturbed my sleep and saw that the warehouse was on fire. The bangs were the residual heat causing the tyres on their van to explode.
We left our flat and the three of us stood outside in our nighties. Seconds later there were Sirens and blue lights. And firemen running around shouting instructions to one another.
With massive hoses!!
We got told by the firemen to go back inside. Apparently we were distracting them. Lol. I thought. Are you kidding me?? That was NEVER going to be happening. 😂
