When was the lowest point of your life and when was the highest?

2004 was the lowest. I'd tried for a year to "do something about my drinking" all I'd achieved was moving from a daily top up drinker to an out control binge drinker. And I was fucked.

Suicide was it seemed the only option other than going back to drinking daily but I couldn't get the amounts right.

Fortunately one more bender, one more row, one more feeling I simply couldn't go on but I actually asked someone for help, took their advice and began the slow trudge on the road of recovery.

High points - both well after that period which shows suicide is only ever a permanent solution to a temporary problem. My kids weddings, especially walking my daughter down the aisle. My granddaughters births and having them in my life.

One other. Getting up on stage in a pub in London totally on my own with an acoustic guitar around my neck, 100% sober, and performing a set of my songs. Something I'd thought I'd never do without needing booze to fuel it.

My lowest was a divorce and parents deaths. My highest was my children's births.

Lowest was the night that i realized i had hurt the person i loved most in the world and there was absolutely nothing i could do about it.

Highest? Not really sure. Maybe it's still to come.

Lowest was losing my Family through divorce, coupled with addiction and depression.

Highest: Seeing my Child graduate from college and getting started on their adulthood. 🤗

Probably like 2018 through 2021. The hits just kept coming and I almost died (literally) multiple times.

It was a big wake up call to live life on my own terms finally.

2014-15 and since early 2024 were low points, though in the end 2024 really needed to happen for things to ever change for the better. The best times revolved around life with my sons.

The lowest point was in the midst of my alcoholism. The highest I guess was when I was 14 and had a solid friend group; things felt stable for the first time in a long time at that point.

When I felt secure in my job, had my own place, and my own car.

The lowest point would be right now

My first day with any responsibility was my lowest point - the day I started kindergarten. The highest point was the day I retired from work almost 17 years ago.

Most everything in between was a boring nothingness.

When I tried to take my own life many years ago

The highest part of my life was becoming a father

My highest came after my lowest. Like around the pandemic years, 2022 was a great year

There were years when i was deathly depressed.. i’m glad that’s over 😬

Lowest: days after the surgery.
Highest: I don't know. Maybe late 2010 and early 2011.

Lowest - December 2006.
Highest - not sure

Lowest between the ages of 17-27
