Is there things that people you know refrigerate that you don't think should be? Or they don't and you think they should?

My sister hates that I don't refrigerate syrup. I do real maple syrups. But not regular pancake syrups etc

The chemicals in regular pakcake syrup don't require fridgeration.

I fridgerate my maple syrups even though I know i don't have to. I also fridgerate my soy sauce even though I know the salt content requires it doesn't need to be.

Some things you just do.

I have purchased "real" maple syrup and some say they do not need to be refrigerated after opening, others do?
This has me paying attention to the labels on other products as well.

Bread it seems weird. Jst eat the bread it’s a one week thing; upon being opened, but my parents will keep a loaf in the fridge for three weeks forget it’s there and open a new loaf every other day it’s a bakery shelf in their fridge whenever I visit.
I'm not on board with butter sitting out of the fridge when not in use

.. you do you .. I'll skip the toast

I keep seasonings/spices/etc. in fridge just to keep moisture out. nothing more annoying than trying to sprinkle some onion or garlic powder on something and it's set up like concrete in the bottle...

I always refrigerate fruit while I know others just leave them out in the open.

real maple syrup needs to be refrigerated to keep from souring

the fake stuff (corn syrup) doesn't matter; it could lay outside in the weather year round and it would still taste the same...
peanut butter, keep in the cabinet , some jellies need frigerated,

@ChipmunkErnie I tend to freeze those rather than refrigerate 🤔

@NerdyPotato I prefer the dehydrated ones.

My regular pancake syrup IS real maple syrup.

I don`t put ketchup or mustard or any syrups in the fridge.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
We don't refrigerate ketchup or mustard.
Why would you refrigerate syrup?
