how can I stop getting people to use fraud on my debit card?

this is the 2nd time in less than 2 months, the bank shuts my card down because of them doing that and then I have to wait for a new card to come in the mail, this happened wed so I wont get it till next WK, its very inconvenient cause not everyone lets you use checks, the store downstairs, its a grocery store , they'll take my checks but a lot of stores wont so a lot of times I'm stuck not being able to get what I need to get thanks to the idiots using my card. I applied for a credit card thru my bank so if this ever happens again I can at least have that to use, is there anyways to put an end to this once and for all? tired of the inconvenience of not being able to buy what I need and cant use an ATM cause I don't have my card.

If you open an account at another bank and get a debit card from them, you can use that to "test" each store you visit to see if the theft is coming from there.
Use the card once, note the date and time, then wait a month before testing the next store. If your card is used, you will have a pretty good idea who is doing it.
Might help to take a picture of the person that processed your card if you can too.

For us it was the guy processing the cards for our kids school pictures. Somebody the district hired.
