I'm always punctual. If I'm not something went awfully wrong.

It is a sign of conscious or unconscious disrespect for the time of others. "You can wait for me, because I am more important." I have waited an hour for people from some cultures, just to let me know how important they were..😷
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
Sure. Because that's what the problem is. Leaving earlier.

Look, I'm not one of them, but people who are chronically late have an actual problem with temporal perception. My dad is one of them, and it's so weird to watch. His perception of 5 minutes is so warped that he thinks I can go down to the post office and the pharmacy and back in that amount of time.

Or maybe his brain just literally doesn't clock how much time has passed, and only goes from moment to moment.

I like to give others a head start. It’s called generosity.
WillaKissing · 56-60, M
I ask this question myself, but it does not change anything of the habitual late person.
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
@WillaKissing okay mate sorry. I have to learn to treat people with respect and kindness. It’s just something that I don’t understand and it makes me uncomfortable.
And yes, I’m a bit like a drunken God…😂 l drink beer and I had hard-core spiritual experiences
WillaKissing · 56-60, M
@Ferise1 Good for you. Just remember the world and the people here in it are not here to make you comfortable, and they will only be nice to you if you are nice to them.
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
@WillaKissing yeah that might apply when you see someone crying or you go to a nudist beach. Not when you see a big burly man dressed as a woman. It’s very unsettling and not at all normal.
Muthafukajones · 46-50, M
They procrastinate because they don’t want to go. They seek attention for being late. They handle their anxiety by making their arrival time optional.
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
@beermeplease what job is it?
@Ferise1 inside sales mostly.....so go figure for 20 minutes there's no sales person answering the phone.
Muthafukajones · 46-50, M
@beermeplease What happens with employees like that is that they do enough to keep their job but they erode the patience of their employer and also build no currency from perceived hard work. The first moderate screw up and she will be gone. Another person who came on time everyday might be forgiven but she won’t be.
Ambroseguy80 · 56-60, M
Sorry. I was going to answer this, but I had to leave early for my next question or I would be late.
Cigarguy · 41-45, M
I am never late. In fact most of the time I'm early
Adrift · 61-69, F
Cause they fart around and don't plan ahead.
My sister is like this.
I will tell her the time to be somewhere is a half an hourly earlier.

I do leave earlier. Time just fast-forwards when I’m not looking. 😐
It's good to be late

Their perception of time is slower. I am always early. I have a friend who is always late. He will try to cram 10 things in a small time period and wonder why it all goes to shit.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@SW-User Are... are you friends with my dad?
Katie01 · F
I don't respect other people enough
Moneyonmymind · 31-35, M
Because they’re procrastinators?
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
I like to go to bed late and enjoy life
