qatar airways is awesome, best I've seen. air Canada is pretty good, Copa airlines to go to south america is a good option.

The old Republic Airlines was the only airline I ordered our travel agent to avoid. I refused to get on their aircraft after one ran out of fuel on a flight and another went into a steep dive on a routine flight, dropping 10,000 ft. with no explanation.

@SomeMichGuy I had to fly them into Huntsville, AL with a stop in Memphis (I think). I was watching them service my aircraft one day before we boarded. Something fell out of the nose gear bay. A mechanic picked it up, looked at it, and tossed it in the trash. Was it not needed? If not, why was it there. My travel agent laughed at me until her daughter was on the flight that dropped 10,000 feet with no comment from the flight deck. She had the "Do Not Schedule" tag put on her file, too. The one that ran out of fuel actually had fuel, but made an emergency landing and discovered they forgot to switch tanks. One time I was stranded in Huntsville for two days because they ran out of de-icer.

@SomeMichGuy No. Probably in the 80's. I was an avid reader of "Aviation Week & Space Technology" magazine, and they had frequent pieces about airline incidents. That's one way I knew about Republic's issues.

United. Never on time. The only good thing about them is that I usually get vouchers for free flights because they are so late
