I saw it once before in a comment on this site. The context in which it was in led me to believe the person saying it had gone from Colbert Report style comedy to just saying random crap. I didn't bother to look it up, thought of total dissolved solids, and replied with this image:

Moments ago I saw it again in a reply to someone else's post. Part of teh response to an anti-Trump meme was, "The Q is.. why you TDS folk still shilling for the crooks?"
This time I did look it up. The first thing Google says is also the first thing I thought of, total dissolved solids. It also says tax deducted at source, testosterone deficiency syndrome, and a telecom company called TDS are potential meanings.
I'm sure I'm already overthinking this, but in for a penny. Is TDS an acronym that is specific for this site? Is it some millennial slang that I just don't know? What does it mean?

TDS is a bad-faith defense argument used by Trump supporters who decided it's easier to dismiss and dehumanize people than it is to try to understand their criticisms or objections to him. It stands for Trump Derangement Syndrome, and if someone diagnoses you with it in an argument, that's a clear sign that they're not worth talking to. People with critical thinking skills don't make up an illness to avoid having a meaningful discussion
