LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@TigerLili People have pets, and that gives reason to continue, but it doesn't always take away the need for more
akindheart · 61-69, F
a little of both i believe. i treasure my freedom but i do get lonely.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@akindheart Freedom is the only "silver lining" of that kind of loneliness I've ever found. I'm not sure it's worth everything else that goes with it though. 🤷🏼♀
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
Mostly freedom. I am a bit of a loner so I would not want anyone waiting for me every night. I do rather fancy waking up to a certain special someone sometimes though.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@ninalanyon Understandable.
Heartlander · 80-89, M
Both. But I've come to discover that the best companionship is with someone who cherishes freedom and is inspired by your own sense of freedom.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@Heartlander That would be nice.
Adogslife · 61-69, M
That’s sadness. I’m happiest with a woman in my life. There’s just so much positive that comes with a good companion.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@Adogslife Still happy you found that after so many years that were the opposite.
Adogslife · 61-69, M
@LadyBronte You don’t get there alone. Friends like you matter. 🙏🏻
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@Adogslife Awww...thanks. You're right - friends do help us along. You're one of those friends.
I’d call that opposite sides of the same coin.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@OlderSometimesWiser Agree.
BrandNewMan · M
Peace. I'll take lonely over staying.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@BrandNewMan I get that. Feeling lonely in your home is definitely not peaceful.
Wiseacre · F
Dogs are wonderful companions. Taking dog for a walk is reason enough to get out of bed.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@Wiseacre I have cats, they offer the same kind of reason.
Gibbon · 70-79, M
Because life forced it on me I call it loneliness.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@Gibbon I understand that.
chasingThursday · 36-40, M
Both
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@chasingThursday I get that.
chasingThursday · 36-40, M
@LadyBronte I’ve been alone so long that I don’t know what I would do if I was in a relationship. It would feel so foreign to me
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@chasingThursday Yeah. That's a feeling I know well.
rinkydinkydoink · M
Bliss
Both
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@MarbleMarvel Fair enough.
Wiseacre · F
FREEDOM! My advice: celebrate ur singleness.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@Wiseacre Not everyone in that situation is single.
Just lonely.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@Idontbelonghere Yeah, that's how I see it too.
@LadyBronte I'm sorry Lady. No one should understand that .
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@Idontbelonghere I agree with you. Unfortunately, it does happen.
sciguy18 · M
For the last 25 years, I’ve called it loneliness
WillaKissing · 56-60, M
@sciguy18 Someone finally toped my 18 years. I call it freedom though.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@sciguy18 I understand.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@WillaKissing I fear a lot of people deal with it for for too long.
Adstar · 56-60, M
I call it Peace.. 😊
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@Adstar Nice.
WillaKissing · 56-60, M
Presently Freedom
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@WillaKissing Nice.
DDonde · 31-35, M
Both
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@DDonde Fair enough.
gregloa · 61-69, M
Loneliness
If you have a partner and you don’t have freedom, there’s something wrong.
If you have a partner and you don’t have freedom, there’s something wrong.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@gregloa The opposite is also true.
NerdyPotato · M
I switch between periods of either.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@NerdyPotato Yeah. I get that.
Subsumedpat · 36-40, M
Sometimes one sometimes the other.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@Subsumedpat Yes, it can be.
bowman81 · M
Both.

LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@bowman81 Great song!
Freedom/liberty and loneliness.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@Nihiless Yep. I can see that.
LunarOrbit · 56-60, M
🎵Freedom’s just another word for nothing left to lose…🎶
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@LunarOrbit Great song. And she was a great artist!
Ferric67 · M
They are similar, aren't they
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@Ferric67 Perhaps both can result from the same situation, but I've never thought freedom and loneliness were similar in meaning or feeling.
