Dinner Question

You're having dinner, your mom spent a good hour or two making or preparing it, but in your head, you're a little tired of it. You don't necessarily hate it or anything, but it's not the most appealing thing you feel like that night. You finish and eat up most of it, and your mom asks, "Was it good?"

If I say yes, I am wrong for lying, since my real thoughts is that it was boring? Or should I just be content making my mom happy and not being such a greedy beggar?

You could say something like yes it was good mom. Hey do you think we could have ___ tonight?

@Jenny1234 Why are you enabling her bad behaviour? 🧐

@MarkPaul what bad behaviour?

@Jenny1234 Instead of sitting back in her dinner chair with the expectation that her mum should be doing all the cooking (and cleaning, I suspect), she should consider taking on some of the cooking responsibilities and decisions. Why not suggest, "What can I cook for you, tomorrow? How about _____?" We should be teaching her to become more self-sufficient and caring, instead of being self-absorbed and entitled... don't you think?

@MarkPaul I’m not her parent. It’s not for me to tell her how to behave.

@Jenny1234 And, yet you are instructing her on what to say. 🤨
