Do You Ever Find...

... Yourself censoring the things you'd like to say because the scenarios you play out in your head show a potential for a negative social outcome?

I second guess a lot in public but find myself more confident in writing.

Sometimes I’ll type out a reply but then think, “nope, not worth it” and delete.

@OlderSometimesWiser more and more recently. Maybe not the best format for a discussion but its becoming increasingly difficult to converse without some party getting offended (seems people are looking for any linguistic/contextless way to be offended/angry) and spouting nonsense back. As you said, "nope, not worth it"
@OlderSometimesWiser done that a time or 2. Also used the block button on some holier then thou people after trying to word something to not offend them multiple times. I have lots of patience until I have none
@Justafantasy When I first got here, I swore I’d never use the block button as I spent a lot of time on a site that didn’t have one. But now I’m very glad it’s an option. Still don’t use it a lot but nice to know it’s there.
@OlderSometimesWiser I've changed, my profile has changed, my attitude as well. Certain stuff I tolerated before because I wanted to be accepted by people in an online community I comment and if I get a "your opinion is wrong" response I use the block button. If it's an opinion, it's mine. You can have yours, I can have mine doesn't make one wrong, just different.
