As a followup to a previous question, what was your favorite concert?

Mine has to be Iron Maiden at PNC Arts Center Holmdel, NJ. 2008.

Led Zeppelin Knebworth 1979.
Also Rush Clockwork Angels Tour 2013.

@OldBrit
That must have been among the very last of John Bonham Sr.’s performances.
OldBrit · 61-69, M
@Pfuzylogic it was sadly.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@OldBrit Damn, Led Zeppelin....consider yourself fortunate.
originnone · 61-69, M
IDK....I had the most fun at Simon and Garfunkel....AC/DC was a lot of fun....I was really excited about seeing the Indigo Girls and they were just terrible. Moody Blues were my band, but they're not a concert band. Believe it or not, Yanni is a really great show.

Aerosmith probably

Frank Zappa, Enna, Sicily, 1986.

It's a toss-up between Death Cab for Cutie in 2005 and The Decemberists in 2006. :)
@thepreposterouspanda death cab would be dope. I wish my anxiety didn’t limit me from stuff I enjoy. Sucks.
thepreposterouspanda · 36-40, M
@DarkHeaven I very much understand. My anxiety has gotten bad enough at this point that I can't really be around crowds in general anymore. It sucks because I love live music.

It was Death Cab on the Transatlanticism tour too which is arguably their most cohesive album and also the last one they did on a minor label. 🙂
@thepreposterouspanda that’s super cool and I’m not at all jelly. Naw, I’m joking… I’m a bit jelly, but also happy for you. 😊
Pink Floyd, The Wall , at the Meadowlands
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@Onestarlitnight Cool...during the concert the wall was built around the band and then it was knocked down at the end?

🤘Iron Maiden rules!🤘

Such an AWESOME live band.

My favorite would be Metallica in Philly in 97? They did a free concert and me and a friend were able to go and get right to the stage.

I got a nod from Jason Newsted

I haven't been to many so will say Cheap Trick at Fox Theatre in Atlanta 1985 John Waite opened for them and got booed for each of his 2 or 3 encores I remember
UpsideOutInsideDown · 36-40, M
Do festival sets count? It would have to be Lamb of God at Download in 2004. Or Slipknot headlining it the same year

Paul McCartney, around 2002. Something about everything that night was just 100% on.
@uncalled4 Paul is just incredible. I know everybody loves Lennon (and I do too) but Paul is so incredibly talented.
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
@DarkHeaven Agreed. Plus, who can match his set list?
@uncalled4 literally no one.
Earth Wind & Fire, LTD, Brick, and The Brothers Johnson, Atlanta 1978.
Human1000 · M
The Who, 1984. No Keith Moon, though. 😔
Greenday. Wembley. American Idiot.
Human1000 · M
@V00doo Good one. Maybe I’ll listen to American Idiot today.
Matt85 · 36-40, M
@V00doo That's rude, he was just asking a simple question.
