Worse than a downvote, which says a lot
Fishy · 36-40, F
It's either by mistake (I've mistakenly done it before and then quickly unhearted my post once I noticed)
or insecurity, they wanna make it seem like people are liking their posts but they forget that VIPs can see them hearting their own posts
it's kinda cringe tbh

They want to express that they are enthusiastically agreeing with themselves. 😁
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
@CookieCrumbs I'm going to end every argument with "and I agree with that statement."
chrisCA · M
It's lame.
Montanaman · M
@chrisCA I do it on occasion. Depending on the subject matter. Like giving myself a high five 👋 ✋️ 🤪🤭

Knock yourself out, but I reserve the right to sneer at your insecurity.
@SumKindaMunster And you have turned it into an art form 😛
InOtterWords · F
@SumKindaMunster very well said
tindrummer · M
In my experience I've only noticed trumpistas and conspiracy types do it
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
Pathetic.

If it's a debate/discussion and you are considered about the likes count, In such case, it should not affect you. You are not likely to change you opinions just because someone else or few people thinks in a particular way.
If they themselves liked their selfie or achievement post, either they are over excited, or not finding enough people to appreciate their selfie/achievements. It's never bad to appreciate someone and make them happy. If no one else appreciate/supports you, doing that on your own is not wrong either.

@ABCDEF7 interesting point of view - thank you
deadgerbil · 26-30
It's cringe af but I like trolling a guy on here who hearts his own comments religiously lol funny pointing out the instances when he forgets to do so
Classified · M
Do they do any harm with it? If no, then I'd say this is acceptable.
InOtterWords · F
@Classified what if they are making a racist comment. Hearting the post gives the impression that others support this view.
Classified · M
@InOtterWords Hearting a racist comment isn't good anyway. Whether it be of themselves or of others.
GJOFJ3 · 61-69, M
Since no prizes are given for most hearts I see no problem with it
SW-User
Idk, but I'm going to heart this comment of mine
Spacesbetweenus · 31-35, F
That's called Self love😅
He is a moron
silentkillx2 · F
Lol
DrawntoaDistance · M
Lol I think they did it by accident. Because what kind of herp derp dipshit does that on purpose?
tindrummer · M
@DrawntoaDistance the ones I asked said their comments were so good they should ❤️ them 😂
SW-User
I've done it occasionally by accident, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and think they did too.
Icetrey · 41-45, M
I think they probably don't know how to work the website, and probably did it on accident.
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
I would say no, not acceptable. But how would you know if someone does that????
ChiefJustWalks · 26-30
I might start liking all my own stuff since it seems to be so weird 😅
SweetMae · 70-79, F
I wouldn't do that but some people do.
InOtterWords · F
@SweetMae hello - i have not seen you in a long while 🤗
SweetMae · 70-79, F
@InOtterWords Hello! Good to see you again. 🤗
SW-User
Idk it's just a bit weird i guess. Maybe more than a bit.
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
It was either an accident or they're pretty dumb.
AntisocialTroll · 56-60, F
I'm sure I've done it by accident at least once.
antonioioio · 70-79, M
It's sad when someone dose that ❤️
SW-User
I think maybe it was by mistake
I think it's weird
midnightrose · F
I think they really like their post and want others to know it. On an app I use it was an expectation that you like your own stuff. I was told that I should but it felt weird. Maybe it's like giving yourself a high five when nobody else will do it.
I don't see other people's reactions, I think you need VIP for that?
Maybe they're proud of themselves, or maybe they're short of likes.
I'm not bothered, each to their own I guess.

I see people do that often on Facebook I’m like either that person is stuck up or they’ve lived very sheltered lives lol
Mindful · 56-60, F
I’m sure I’ve done that on accident because it’s next to the”who hearted my post” button
Rokasu · 36-40, M
Why do they let you in the first place? Laziness on the dev side?
It makes no difference as i dont notice. Im not here that often.
caccoon · 36-40
I think it's hilarious
ImperialAerosolKidFromEP · 51-55, M
I often give them the benefit of the doubt; maybe it was just an errant click. On the other hand, the other day I saw someone who's hearted his own stuff a few times call another SWeep pathetic for doing just that!
Bang5luts · M
Idk. I wanted to hear a few of my own because I was laughing so hard and would've loved it if someone else made it. But I never did.
DDonde · 31-35, M
It's kinda dumb
