Lol, yes! I thought it was only me. I've spent a lot of time and thought typing out what I hoped was a helpful or informative answer, only to think "somehow, someone somewhere will find a way to be offended by this, and I'm not in the mood to deal with them".
AbbeyRhode · F
@SumKindaMunster Understandable. To some, there is nothing so offensive as the truth, and you speak the common sense truth.

@AbbeyRhode Thanks, it's been tough the last couple of days to not allow myself to get sucked into it. I always appreciate your support. 🤗

I have done exactly the same thing.
Got to the end of a longish missive, read what I have written then decided, "No, let it go, you don't really want to get involved" Delete

@Gusman Same here. I also know I am a person who does not let challenges go so starting shit means I am in it for the long haul...some days I just don't have it in me...🤷‍♂️

@SumKindaMunster Wow, that sounds exactly like me.
I used to get quite involved. Poking my nose in, knowing that I will need to be active with my post with plenty of responses.
The last twelve months I have posted less, interacted less simply because I "Just Don't Have It In Me"
Yeah. It becomes quite obvious that they’re not here to learn anything. No matter how many facts you provide they’re not going to listen. The replies become rants and you can almost smell the fetid zoo odor as the chimpanzee starts keening and screaming. Then the fecal matter starts getting thrown. It becomes abundantly clear they know you’re right when it gets to that level. And then you may ask yourself, “Well, how did I get here?”

Yes. Especially on political questions.

If I am going to think hard, and research, and provide links, I don't want to cast those pearls before swine. Every once in a while, I do all of the above only to have some mental giant quote CNN or MSNBC and tell me, "THAT has not been proven".

Quite frequently!
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
Glad I'm not the only one!
WanderingThrough · 31-35, F
I do this almost daily.

Yeah but I recently stopped, I hear somewhere that being authentic brings you closer to people you wouldn't normally get along with otherwise. I think that's good in a way.

Yep. I just deleted my identical question from fall of last year. Hassle get tiring after awhile and it's not worth it.
