can they close my apt building down cause of people doing meth?

my neighbor was doing meth and throwing drug parties, she got kicked out, lately theyve been putting plastic on the walls, guess they found meth, ive never done drugs myself but ive wondered since the plastic is on all 3 floors can they shut down the place cause they found meth in it? am i going to have to move out?

Yes they can. It can be labeled a nuisance property or something like that. One of my friends said they closed the apartment house next to her and it got boarded up so they just broke in to use drugs. Idk if it really helped.

They may have to put you up elsewhere if it's a health hazard that needs to be addressed, but you'll want to refer to your housing authority on laws and your rights.
