I Have a Question

anyone know how long this is going to last with the corona virus, where i live a lot of places are closed so i cant even go see a movie if i was bored. cant go to church either, they cancel just about everything, im not working right now and have thought of volunteering somewheres like maybe babysitting for people that need it so they can go to work cause of kids being out of school but noone seems to need volunteers either. i find it hard when everything i used to go to is now closed, cant hang out at the senior center for lunch anymore, cant even go to church most of the time, im not even sick and cant do nothing. some places wont even take volunteers either so i cant do that either. so when is this going to be over?
Darling... this time a disaster is happening all around the world...

It is the matter of priority...

Anyone can be the carrier of the virus without knowing it and many can get effected by them...

I think you need to be more patient, if not for other people's sake, but at least for your own sake...

I dont want to scare you but You said that you are at the border of being a diabetic... therefor, you are the last person that should go to public places...

Please stay at home and be safe and keep others safe too..

It's anyone's guess. It could be a year or more. There may be a lowering of controls as the virus subsides after its peak but then it may come again. The only real solutions are mass immunity or a vaccine, the virus is unlikely to just die out.

One ray of light might be the creation of a successful antibodies test which can establish who has already had the virus and has immunity (short to medium term). Those people could then return to work and would no longer be a threat to anyone.

@SW-User antibody test is something ive been interested in
It would be good to get this going to allow segments to return to work

Of course having a positive diagnosis by swab plays the same role

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict this to be over by mid June 🦸‍♀️

@Noreaster maybe reduced, but there will likely be a second wave

"Over" depends on your definition. Count on 15-18 months. Be ecstatic if it ends earlier.
Don’t make any plans before Summer 2021
