Like most appliances they are disposable now days
its cheaper to replace it then have it worked on
if you can find someone to work on it .
The newer ones are lighter ,,
If you get someone to set the old one out
unless you are really disabled
more then likely you can handle the new one

I used to repair them ,,now I just harvest the coil and the magnets and with less and less coils having copper
thats a waste of time too ,,no such thing as a quality appliance anymore ,
The days of Sears and Roebuck are gone

To call my older daughter and her huby.
You can check online Pearl...

Google it... type " Microwave repair" and you will get lots of information sweetness... if it didn't help, then please buy a new one online... sometimes the repair money is too high and not worth it...

@Soossie i had sorneone corne pick it up to recycle it, didnt want to put it with the trash cause sorneone could take and use it and its not safe since it can catch on fire like that, i rnight order one online or call a place and ask if they'll deliver it since i cant pick it up
How very thoughtful of you.l. You are a true angel.. well done.. 🤗🤗❤️@pearllederman
If You MUST use a microwave oven, I would say get a new one. The companies who make them aren't going to tell you the dangers of microwave cooking, but there are many. The newer models have improved safety features, but it's still microwave cooking which not only kills the nutritional value of the food, but changes it into something carcinogenic. I know that sounds crazy, but it's been proven. I don't even have a microwave, and the convection oven I use heats almost as quickly. And food just tastes so much better out of a conventional oven.
@MarkPaul You haven't read far enough.

@PhoenixPhail You've read too much... into the Internet conspiracy theories. Do you also believe in Dog Men?
@MarkPaul Never heard of them.

It can be fixed... probably the cooking element needs to be replaced. But, it's probably easier (and possibly cheaper, assuming no incremental tariffs) to just get a new one.

A new one will probably be cheaper than fixing the defective one, and you will have a microwave with new technology.
