Dave's not here, man.

There was a variation of the "Dave's Not Here" sketch in the 1978 cult classic, Up In Smoke.

Pedro: (knocks on door)
Voice: "Who is it?"
Pedro: "It's me, Pedro."
Voice: "Pedro's not here."
Pedro: "No, I'm Pedro, man, open up!"
Man: "What's the matter, man?"
Pedro: "I don't know, somebody's messing around in there, man." (opens the door) "Come on, it's open."
(Pedro and Man walk into the house and see a bird hopping around in a cage)
Pedro: "Hey, Strawberry!"
Bird: "Strawberry's not here!"
Pedro: "It's a bird, man, a bird was answering the door. What a trip."
Man: (to the bird) "Hey, fella."
Pedro: "Hey, Strawberry!"
Man: (to the bird) "Wanna get high? Wanna get high?"
Pedro: (looks around the room as Strawberry starts coming down the stairs) "Must've had a party, here, man."
Man: (to the bird) "Wanna get high? Wanna get high?"
Bird: "Wanna get high? Wanna get high?"
