I'll have thee quiet!

Why is it that when I hear a voice, my meds get increased? Yet when a fanatical Christian hears a voice, everyone oooh's and aaaah's because god is talking to them? I mean, maybe he's talking to me too! Albeit through the walls, but maybe that's for my own good because seeing something like that would probably drive me insane. Anyone?
