“I’m just sayin.” ~

More and more often, people are adding this line at the end of their posts, as if it somehow changes or blunts what they’re actually saying.

Is it just me, or do you think it’s an amazingly dumb and redundant expression?

If they weren’t saying something, they wouldn’t be posting, would they? 🤷‍♂️

It depends on the context. I used to say it quite often when people got angry with me for saying something.

@Matt85 As if it somehow changes or blunts the point you’re trying to make so people don’t get angry or otherwise react negatively?

That appears to be why people use it. I’m not sure how much context actually matters.
