So many people do not understand that unions are good for American workers. We need more of them and they need to be strengthened.
I'm very sorry for what happened to you but I assure you if your company had been unionized and you were the excellent employee you're describing this would not have been allowed.

@MoveAlong I agree unions are a great thing and I've unfortunately never had a union job but it would be nice to have someday. People died so we could have unions and I think people forget about that.

Yes it's very hard. I've been through it. It doesn't help that most companies seem to make it as hard as they can to get hired.

@OogieBoogie If that's the case that's pretty sad.

@separatetheheart Maybe...Not always:
Maybe he saves here to be mean so he can be decent in rl?
We all have different coping mechanisms.
- and on the rare occasion ive seen him be very supportive.
He also owns the fact that he hates most people - so thats something🤷♀
He does admit to not knowing what the prolonged fear of poverty or lack of income feels like. He also compares it with examples of crisis - which doesnt match really.
Compounding, fear is like something that eats away at you. Durating anxiety is exhausting and depleating and is nothing like crisis fear.
The slow loss of the grip you havr on life is demoralizing in daily inevitable increments - it makes the smallest decisions an Olympic level mental game of strategy 😟
Hang in there. Youre doing ok - existing somehow. Which is pretty incredible.
You're expressing your worries - which is also good commedable🤗
When you do get a job with a stable income its going to feel like such a win 😌

It is really shitty how not being a part of the clique can increase your chances of getting fired, then having an incredibly hard time ahead.
Would like to become self employed in the future to cut out the chances of my life being in the hands of others.
