if you read this at someones house would you close the lid before flushing

I didn't know there was anybody who didn't know that until last year, when I saw an ad for some bathroom cleaner, and they were saying that your entire bathroom gets covered with toilet water every time you flush, and I was like, "Wait, there are people who don't close the lid first?"

@LordShadowfire exactly, I think I'm the only one in my family to do it and they look at me like I'm the strange one. I have no regrets
