@popmol I mean like, we'd assume there is something that it's like to be a dog.
Slightly different colour perception and limitted mental capacity but you would think that's what it's like to be a dog.

But with animals you'd think there is something that it is like to be one. Therefor, sentient.

@Matt85 i think i kinda get it. you feel like something, so sentient. i can't imagine feeling like a glass pane so no sentience but i can imagine how to feel if i was a hawk, soaring wind spotting mice and more so sentient?
