I shut out the whole world, studied 12 hours a day for 1 whole year, took pills for my brainsickness. Put my "sorrow on the farthest place on my shelf".....cleared an exam and got a job.
This was during covid. I was unemployed and extremely depressed with nothing to go for me.

@popmol idk man. I started on a 1 page per day strategy. Celebrated on the day I got a page done. Then slowly kept adding pages. Used to post my daily goal here on sw and then at the end of the day I'd update everyone. I guess announcing what I was gonna do shamed me into finishing the task.
I lived only from one day to the next. I stopped trying to look at the bigger picture. I only had the strength to live for a day...so I just made short term goals....that is, goals for that day only. And I built upon that.
I also used the forest app, and study communities online (I guess study stream?) to stay focused. I used the Pomodoro method to study with an online study session that's always live 24/7 on YouTube.
Because I had constant intrusive thoughts and severe PTSD symptoms, I needed background noise, so I would put on boring interviews on YouTube for noise when I would study.
I used to read aloud to myself in the mirror.
Then I posted on a local Facebook community for a study partner. I got 2 partners for 2 different subjects, and we would study on phone call. So get a study partner.
Despite all this, I would still lose focus and go into a PTSD trance, but I would repeat the lines in my textbook till I snapped back to reality and the words started making sense to me.
It was the Syllabus most people get done in 3 to 4 months. I took 1 yr to finish the same.
Persevere. Persevere. Persevere....
That's all. Use any or all of these tips. Study partners are a very effective way of staying motivated. So I highly advise you find one.

@turningthekeys that takes some serious will power. Good job 👏

@Raaii Facebook has groups catering to specific subjects/degrees/national and international exams where you can find people that are also looking for a study part er. Reddit also has study communities for different subjects but not as specific or active as Facebook ones.
turningthekeys · 31-35, F
@Raaii if you just want to find a random study session to study with, then studystream. Discord also has study servers.
