@swirlie That was after the fact. Mom divorced dad when I was two. Dad did the right thing and stuck around anyway. The encyclopedia set story.

But yeah, it was dysfunctional marriage to begin with, as well as a dysfunctional family.

Dad had a temper. Just not physically to her. Just every other object around her. And sometimes even every object around me.

I learned to live with it. Mom couldn't. And I understand why there as well. There was a reason why mom was an alcoholic. And the divorce had nothing to do with it. She still tolerated him, though they always lived separately.

Hence why I took care of them both, before they passed away.
Her other kid's wouldn't.

Now who's NOT dysfunctional in the family? 🤷🏻‍♂

Someone that could get along? Or ALL the ones that couldn't get along with each other? I took the brunt of that as well. They ostracized me. Me, living alone wasn't enough for them.
